Dr. Michael Mensah, the President’s nominee for Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly for the position of Municipal Chief Executive, has been rejected by Assembly members as he failed to secure the needed endorsement. At the end of the confirmation process, six out of the 18 Assembly Members voted yes whiles the remaining 12 voted no indicating a total rejection of the nominee.
In her speech, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Ocloo stated that politicians are to lead by serving people therefore “Let us not allow divisions to derail the progress our municipalities need,” she said. “I urge you to put Ghana first, work together in unity, and embrace dialogue to resolve internal concerns. Together, we can build stronger, more inclusive local governments that deliver results for our people.”
