The Ayawaso Municipal Assembly has rejected the President’s nominee Mr. Rudolf Collin-Williams for the position of the Municipal Chief Executive. Out of the 17 Assembly members present and voting, 6 voted Yes whiles the remaining 11 voted No. The nominee therefore failed to attain the two thirds votes mandated for the confirmation or fifty percent of the vote cast to warrant a second round of voting within 10days.
Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo pleaded with Assembly members to support the President in confirming his nominees to foster development within their Municipality. She urged Assembly members to always make Ghana and their Municipalities top most priorities and unite for the betterment of all.
