The Department of Trade supported the application review process by undertaking the first initial independent onsite assessment on the 1D1F applicants. In addition, the periodic onsite monitoring also helped in report on the status of operations of the companies.Preliminary, they also submitted budget monitoring clusters and submission of memo to initiate the assignment, including discussions with the Team Leader for 1D1F. The District also Supported the Team. The District Implementation Support Team (DIST) is an institutional representation in each of the MMDAs to support the Ministry in the implementation of the 1D1F initiative. DIST for Tema West Municipal Assembly and Ga West Municipal Assembly was concluded in the first project. The existence of the DIST will help improve service delivery by the MMDAs to these companies especially permits, access roads and electricity.
