The Office of the Head of the Local Government Service (OHLGS) to develop a Records Management Manual (RMM) and Fixed Assets Management Tool for the Local Government Service.
Following the successful development dissemination and roll-out of the Manual and the organization of the results-sharing workshop for the regional focal persons, the Office of the Local Government Service organized a Best Practice and Results Sharing Workshop for selected Districts nominated by the RCCs. The workshop was meant to ascertain from practitioners the functionalities of the RMUs at the Districts and share records management good practices. The training was clustered in four (4) zones.
Accordingly, the Greater Accra Region was represented by the La Dade Kotopon and Korle Klottey Municipal Assemblies, whilst Gomoa East District Assembly and Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly represented the Central and Western Regions in the zone 2 at the Elmina Beach Resort. Ultimately, Korle Klottey emerged winners of the Zone 2.
