Child Protection Toolkit training programs in 29 MMDAs

The Department of Community Development has carried out training for staff of the department from the twenty nine (29) Metropolitan Municipal And District Assemblies 9MMDAs) on the child protection toolkit. This training was done to equip the staff with skills and knowledge to screen children who may be going through abuse and vulnerability and to prescribe the necessary care for them.

The toolkit was designed with the support of the UNDP through the UNCHR to protect the rights of children who are the most vulnerable. The training programme was opened by the Regional Coordinating Director, Ms Felicia Dapaah. She urged the officers to take the training serious so that they can ameliorate the plights of children in the various MMDAs.
