The regional department of agriculture under the Greater Accra Coordinating Council is one of the 16 regional departments of agriculture in Ghana. As its mandate is to monitor and supervise agricultural activities in the region as well as offer technical backstopping.The district offices conducted awareness campaigns and facilitated the identification and registration of farmers and input dealers for participation in the 2024 season of the Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) program. Farmers and input dealers have received education on the 2024 guidelines of the fertilizer and seed subsidy program and have been encouraged to comply with them. This period is significant for major crop production.
