The Department of Community Development, organized 3-Day refresher training at the Shai Osu Doku District on the use of Child Protection toolkit effectively to engage children and families affected by the Volta dam spillage in Shai Osu Doku District. They trained the Community Facilitators memory on the use of Child Protection (CP) Toolkits,Strengthen their capacity on all efforts to prevent and respond to Child Protection in Emergencies.
They also introduce them to the Monitoring Application for the documenting and reporting on the use of the toolkits and related activities,Oriented the people on how to monitor and track to what extent certain vulnerable groups are being targeted in their community engagements.Children and families in the communities that were affected by the Volta dam spillage and refer cases encounter in the communities to Social Welfare Unit for case management.
