The Department of Parks and Gardens organised a Horticultural Products programme that seeks to produce including vegetables, fruits, tree seedlings and ornamental plants for sale to the public. This helps to promote landscape construction, business opportunities and some other secondary benefits for the public.It also provides floricultural sections in the various nurseries across its regional offices in the country to provide floral products (wreaths and wedding bouquets etc.) for sale to the public. The products were supplied to state institutions for functions and it came in both natural and artificial varieties.
The Department also restocked nurseries about 70,000 more and new plant seedlings for sale to the public and supply 4,000 seedlings to institutions for beautification in 2024.
