As part of the oversight responsibility of the Ghana Statistical Service, field officers working on projects were monitored. The Regional office through the Regional Statistician monitored a number of teams who are engaged in field data collection in the region. Notable among them being the Ghana Living Standards Survey, round eight (GLSS 8) which began last year and Accommodation Unit Surveys (AUS). These projects are to last for twelve (12) months. Fourteen (14) Teams in all are involved in field data collection in the aforementioned surveys in Greater Accra. There is also International Cross Border Trade (ICBCT) going on in regions that share borders with neighboring countries. The Regional Statistician also visited field workers in some border communities in Volta Region as part of his monitoring activities during the first quarter.
