The Regional Office Team undertook Monitoring and Follow Up Visits to the Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly in the Region as part of their activities featured in the 2023 Action Plan.
The monitoring visits were carried out from April 2023. The visits enabled the Teams to follow-up on the activities undertaken by the staff of the MMDAs in the office and on the field with the Study Group Members they work with.
The Monitoring Team joined the Community Development Unit of the Ayawaso East Municipal Assembly, to embark on a sensitization visit to the Filidoki Community.
The staff from the Unit were made up of three ladies and three gentlemen including one staff from the Social Welfare Unit. The staff met with their apprentice group who are both males and females’ adolescents from various tailoring and dress making shops in the community.
The facilitator pointed out the various forms of abuses and later zeroed it to Child Abuse
She stressed that parents should be responsible by providing the needs of their children and also protect their children from predators who cause various abuse to them.
