The Greater Accra Regional Department of Agriculture organized a training and built the capacity of 50 District and Regional Agric. Officers comprising 8 males and 42 females on improved meat processing and handling technology.
The objective of the training was to increase the number of small holder meat processors practicing improved meat processing technology which will translate in reduction of health issues associated with food hygiene.
District officers have been trained to transfer the technology to meat processors in all the 29 Metropolitan, Municipal and Districts of the Greater Accra Region.
