As part of measures being put in place by the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council to ensure the sustainability of Operation Clean your frontage campaign, about 1, 200 people have been recruited, screened and are currently undergoing a month training at the Bundase Military Base in Accra.
The one thousand two hundred people (1,200), forms part of the first batch of 3,500 city response team personnel who would be deployed to all the twenty nine (29) Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the Greater Accra region to assist in the enforcement of the operation’s by-law.
Hon. Henry Quartey, Greater Accra Regional Minister, in a speech read on his behalf by the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Tema Hon. Yohane Nii Armah, congratulated personnel’s for successfully going through all the needed screening processes and making it to the training base.
He noted that the task ahead involves a high level of integrity, professionalism and a call to duty. He therefore charged them to be discipline and take all lessons and training sessions with all seriousness and ensuring that Greater Accra Works. Adding that outstanding recruits will be rewarded.
