Mrs. Lilian Beaka Chief Director of the Greater Accra Regional Co-ordinating Council has tasked the heads of Department in the region to exhibit high level of commitment, dedication, and hard work in the discharge of their various duties in other to achieve set mandates, targets and objectives towards the development of the region.
She made this statement at the first heads of Departments meeting in Accra. The meeting afforded all the Regional Directors from health, education, agriculture, social welfare to community Development, the opportunity to review and assess their action plans for the year 2024.
She bemoaned the late submission of reports, lack of interest in RCC’s programmes and activities by some heads and absenteeism to official meetings noting that her office would not entertain such actions without permission again.
She charged the Regional Directors to embrace themselves for a busy year and support government through the discharge of their official duties to bring development to the people.
Mrs. Baeka called on the need for effective collaboration between departments to achieve the overall goals and set targets of their various departments adding that this would cut off cost and enhance productivity.
The heads of Departments through their presentations pledged their unflinching support to the Regional Coordinating Council to ensure that the vision, mission and objectives of the Council is achieved.
