GARCC Meetings

The Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council has organized its first meeting for 2020 as part of its obligation geared towards strengthening decentralized system of governance, deepen popular participation and harmonize plans and programme in order to achieve the overall development of the region.

Article 255(1) of the Constitution of Ghana which  established the RCC’s and section 188 of the Local Governance Act, 2016 936 enjoins all RCC’s to meet at least twice every year to take stock of its achievement.

The membership of the Council consist of the Regional Minister as the chair and the Regional Coordinating Director as its secretary.

Other members includes; two representatives of the house of chiefs, the deputy Regional Minister, all MMDCE’s and their presiding members and regional directors of all departments under the RCC.
