The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Henry Quartey planted cocoa seedling on ‘Green Day Ghana’ on Friday 10, June, 2022 at the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange in Accra to remember Tetteh Quarshie who brought cocoa beans into the country.
The Green Day Ghana was instituted last year by Government, under the auspices of the Ministry of Land and Natural Resources, as part of an aggressive afforestation and reforestation agenda to restore the lost forest of the country.
The theme for this year’s Green Day Ghana is ‘Mobilizing for a greener future’ and it targets to plant twenty million trees across the country.
