Castration of livestock and pets is one the animal husbandry management practices that promote healthy and rapid growth, minimize in breeding and prevent hereditary defects and genetic disorders in animal population.Livestock farmers (small ruminants) have been trained to do minor closed castration using a commercially available castrator also known as buddizor. One hundred and forty-eight (164) animals were castrated.
