The Okaikwei North Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Boye Laryea has tour some Basic Education Certificate Examination (B.E.C.E) centers in the municipality on 7th August, 2023 to encourage candidates and also caution them to desist from all forms of examination malpractices.
Honorable Boye Laryea indicated that examination malpractices could lead to the cancellation of their papers and also affect innocent candidates who did not indulge in such acts.
He explained that the examination is the time for the candidates to render account to their parents and caretakers of their years of learning in school.
Hon. Boye Laryea told the candidates to relax, concentrate and avoid fears.
“There’s no reason to panic or to be jittery; exams is just about what you have learnt…recollect what you have learnt and do your best” Honourable Laryea stated.
He was optimistic the teachers have adequately prepared the candidates to write the exams so he asked the candidates to do well and remember what they were taught in order to pass with flying colours.
Mrs. Cynthia Aboni, the Municipal Education Director for Okaikwei North tasked the candidates to adhere to the examination rules and regulations.
Some of the Centers visited were Apenkwa Cluster of Schools, Mizpah International School, Fadama Cluster of Schools, Tesano Cluster of Schools and St. Charles Lwanga R/C Basic School.
A total of 3,121 candidates comprising of 1,493 males and 1,628 females in both Okaikwei North and Okaikwei Central constituency in the Okaikwei North Municipality are writing the exams which would end on Friday August 11, 2023.
