President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Ishmeal Ashitey yesterday cut the sod for the reconstruction of the Tema Sewer Network and Waste Water Treatment Plant as well as the construction of a Solid Waste Treatment Facial Ashaiman.
The construction of waste treatment plants across the county in partnership with the private sector, form part of the effort by the government to tackle sanitation issues by adopting modern technology in the management of solid and liquid waste.
Jospong Group of Companies is the private firm undertaking the project in collaboration with the government through the Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources.
President Akufo-Addo cutting the sky at the start of his tour of Greater Accra yesterday said he wants to ensure that Ghana will be the cleanest country in sub-Saharan Africa.
