SCHOOL HEALTH EDUCATION AND SENSITIZATION

The increasing sanitation challenges such as flood occurrence, littering, indiscriminate dumping and improper personal hygiene etc. which calls for immediate intervention hence propounded mitigation measures by the Environmental Health Organization to curb and promote environmental sanitation.The unit carried out education on environmental hygiene and sanitation at twenty-nine (29) basic schools consisting of ten (10) public and nineteen (19) Private schools within the Municipality. The education was focused on behavioural change among the basic school children and also to be advocates on environmental hygiene and sanitation in their houses and communities.
