The company’s journey began with formal registration, first with the Registrar Generals Department and subsequently with the Ghana Enterprises Agency, attesting to its dedication to compliance and professionalism. Presently, Decokraft boasts a widespread retail presence across Ghana, with key outlets at prominent locations such as Palace Mall, Koala Shopping Center, Migmart, Batsona Total, and Hale Pharmacy, to name just a few. Moreover, Decokraft has ventured into international markets, exporting its exceptional products to the United States, the United Kingdom, and Oslo, Norway. What began as a chocolate-centric enterprise has evolved into a multi-faceted business that now includes cake production, marking a significant expansion in its product line. With time, the company’s workforce has also grown from its initial four employees to a dedicated team of 13 individuals, reflecting the company’s commitment to growth and development.
Decokraft attributes much of its success to the unwavering support received from the Ghana Enterprises Agency (GEA). As a proud member of GEA, Decokraft has benefited from a range of services aimed at nurturing and propelling its growth. Notably, the company participated in the Ghana Trade Fair held at West Hills Mall, where they showcased their Ghanaian-made products, opening up new avenues to reach a wider audience and expand their client base. Furthermore, as a GEA client, Decokraft has accessed invaluable training sessions, including a comprehensive exploration of the kaizen concept. These training sessions equipped the team with practical strategies to eliminate waste, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. As a result, Decokraft has witnessed remarkable improvements in its day-to-day operations, enabling the efficient and effective execution of tasks. Additionally, during the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic, Decokraft received essential financial support in the form of grants from GEA, which played a vital role in sustaining its business operations.
In recognition of its dedication and exceptional contributions to the industry, Decokraft has garnered several prestigious awards over the years. Notably, the company clinched the Ghana Cocoa Awards in the years 2019, 2020, and 2021, securing its position as the best artisanal chocolate brand of the year. Furthermore, Madam Akua Obenewaa Donkor, the visionary leader behind Decokraft, received an honorary award for her outstanding achievements in social enterprise.
Decokraft is deeply appreciative of the steadfast support it has received thus far from GEA and eagerly anticipates continued assistance in the form of grants and training sessions to further expand the horizons of its business endeavors. With a legacy of excellence firmly established, Decokraft remains committed to crafting delightful experiences and spreading the joy of its artisanal chocolates and cakes to an ever-growing audience.
