The workshop was aimed at sharpening the knowledge and skills of staff to ensure professional development in research and analytical data techniques for local government service delivery.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at the Volta Hotel in Akosombo, the Chief Director of the Greater Accra Coordinating Council, Mrs Lilian Baeka( Esq), expressed her appreciation to management for their dedication, commitment and team work in supporting the Regional Minister, Hon. Henry Quartey in the delivery of Government policies and programmes to the good people of the region.
Mrs. Baeka underscored the core mandate of the RCC which is to monitor, coordinate and evaluate the performance of all the 29 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in region.
She said it was against this background that the RCC organised the training workshop in collaboration with GIZ to equip its staff with the requisite skills and techniques for effective delivery.
Accordingly she noted that the workshop has been interspaced with activities to rejuvenate the energies of staff for the task ahead.
Mrs. Baeka urged her management staff to take the 3-day workshop serious and use the platform to share knowledge and ideas and make new interventions and initiatives in policy programmes of government.
