The Ghana Peri-urban Vegetables Value Chain Project (GPVVCP) has constructed and handed over am vegetable pack house to the department of Agric for beneficiary farmers under the project. The intervention is to improve productivity and access to market the by the beneficiary vegetable farmers at the Michel Camp Irrigation site.
The project has committed to link beneficiary farmers to markets and they have also had their production increased. The project has constructed a Packhouse and reefer van for storing and transporting vegetables respectively. The Regional Director of Agric paid a working visit to the site on the packhouse and also visited some vegetable farmers on the site to ascertain for himself the work done by the project.
The Director expressed his joy and gratitude to the project and urged the vegetable farmers to commit to the terms of the projects to ensure they enjoy all the benefits the project sought to bring.
