A ten-member delegation from the west African Examinations Council (WAEC)on Tuesday 24th of March 2026 paid a courtesy call on the Greater Accra Regional Minister ,Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo to announce it 74th Council meeting and extend an invitation to her as a Special Guest.
The three-day Conference which will be hosted by the Greater Accra Region would bring together delegates from WAEC’s five member states-Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, The Gambia, and Liberia .According to WAEC this year’s meeting will focus on advancing educational assessment and reforms across West Africa .
During the interaction,The Regional Minister expressed her support for WAEC’s initiatives aimed at improving educational standards in Ghana and the sub-region. She emphasized the importance of collaboration between WAEC and local education authorities to enhance assessment methods and educational outcomes. The WAEC delegation appreciated Hon. Linda Ocloo for her commitment to education development and discussed ways to strengthen partnerships with local stakeholders.
Greater Accra proudly hosted this landmark gathering, reaffirming Ghana’s leadership in shaping the future of education in the sub-region.
