Hon. Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, Greater Accra Regional Minister, has urged Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to strictly adhere to infrastructure standards to ensure value for money, at a management workshop on DACF-RFG guidelines held on March 26, 2026, at the RCC in Accra.
Speaking at the workshop, the Minister emphasized the need for effective project planning, strict supervision, and accountability in infrastructure delivery.
She noted that the DACF-RFG, supported by Government and development partners including KfW (Kreditanstalt fu?r Wiederaufbau), the German Development Bank, continues to play a key role in improving infrastructure in sectors such as health, education, sanitation, and markets.
Hon. Ocloo highlighted challenges including weak quality control and poor project supervision, and urged MMDCEs to provide strong leadership to ensure strict compliance with standards.
She also called for improved monitoring systems and reaffirmed the Region’s commitment to ensuring that all projects deliver value and positively impact communities.
