In jubilant mood, the Assembly members of the Ningo-Prampram District Assembly gave the President’s nominee, Raphael Uriel Nartey, a 100 percent endorsement. In all, a total of 31 Assembly members, comprising of 21 elected and 10 government appointees voted ‘Yes” to confirm the nominee. The election which was conducted by the electoral commission was witnessed by the Member of Parliament Hon. Sam George, who doubles at the Minister of Communications, Digital Technology and Innovations.
Speaking at the meeting, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Hon. Linda Akweley Ocloo, expressed her satisfaction with the process noting that the process was important as Assemblies needed their MCEs at post to drive the resetting agenda of His Excellency, the President.
