The Shai Osudoku District Assembly, has failed to confirm the Presidents nominee Ignatius Godfred Dordoe for the position of the district chief Executive at a confirmation process held at the Regional House of chiefs. At the end of voting, out the 32 assembly members, 22 elected and 10 appointed, Mr Dordoe secured 17 votes representing 53 percent which falls short of the two third majority mandated for confirmation.
The Greater Accra Regional Minister in addressing the assembly members pleaded with them to desist from instigating people against nominees of the President. She noted that “we are entering into the rainy season where floods usually occur, therefore we need our MMDCEs at post to work together with other stakeholders on sanitation to reduce flooding.
