The President’s nominee for the position of Metropolitan Chief Executive in Tema, Ebi Bright was on Friday confirmed at an election conducted by the electoral commission in its Assembly Hall. She obtained 28 votes out of the total 31 casted and was subsequently sworn into office by the Greater Accra Regional Minister. In her acceptance speech, she pledged to serve with humility, dignity and integrity to ensure the total revival of the metropolis. She again assured all of her commitment to advancing the 24-hour economy initiative.
She noted that, as the first female Mayor, she will work closely with all Assembly members, the traditional council and all other stakeholders to implement initiatives that will create jobs for the people of Tema and beyond.
