The Minister of Communications and Digitization Hon. Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, advised women particularly young ladies, to keep focus and take decisions that will influence their lives positively.
She said young ladies were often times confronted with a myriad of issues which could sway their attention negatively. Sharing an advice at a forum organized by the eTranzact last Wednesday to mark this year’s International Women’s Day in Accra, Mrs. Owusu Ekuful said “we do come by crossroads some moments in our lives, and whatever decisions you take in life will influence your future and we have to take it carefully”.The 2024 International Women’s Day was celebrated in the theme was Innovation and technology for gender equality.
The theme emphasizes the need to celebrate women’s achievement, raise awareness about discrimination and take action to drive gender parity.
She admonished young ladies not to live a life of regret, observing that every decision one took had consequences and that people must be prepared to bear the outcomes of their decisions.
Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful further encourage young ladies to take decisions that would help them to achieve their goals in life and also affect the lives of the people around them positively.
The Member of Parliament for the Korle-Klottey constituency, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings also admonished women to beware of men who came to their lives to control them, urging them to have confidence in themselves and not to be intimidated by fear.
