PEEDGET BITES

PEEDGET BITES is a Ghanaian woman-led enterprise established by Mrs. Bridget Ohenewaa Ohene in 2014, located in Abeka within the Okaikwei North Municipality of the Greater Accra Region. She launched the venture after completing tertiary education, motivated by the challenge of finding employment and determined to create her own opportunities. Initially operating alone and focusing solely on meat pie production, she responded to growing customer demand by hiring two additional staff members. Today, the business provides an extensive range of confectioneries and related products, including ice cream, yogurt, and cakes.

With the support of the Ghana Enterprise Agency (GEA), PEEDGET BITES registered as a sole proprietorship with the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ORC) at no cost. Under the BizBox project, GEA is also assisting the business in registering one of its products with the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), again free of charge. The agency has remained a key facilitator of the company’s growth, even before official registration. Having now enrolled with the Achimota Business Advisory Center (BAC), PEEDGET BITES looks forward to securing additional support—particularly financial assistance to further expand its operations and employ more people in service of the nation.
