It involves legal actions taken against individuals, organizations or corporations that violate environmental laws, regulations or standards that could harm human health, the environment or both.
Effective prosecution ensures that, violators are held accountable, acts as deterrent for future violations and promotes a healthier environment for communities. The participant were trained on how to gather evidence and preparing witnesses for cases (Prepare witnesses and exhibits before trail, and how to upgrade their knowledge of the criminal procedures involving summary trial and also identify the basic elements constituting an offence.
