YOUTH EMPOWERMENT INITIATIVE BRINGS HOPE TO YOUNG WOMEN IN BUBUASHIE

Young women in Bubuashie, Accra, have received major support through a youth empowerment initiative organized by Rahmatullah Impact Hub in partnership with the National Youth Authority.

The programme, held at the Mount Ararat Methodist Church, targeted mainly young sachet water vendors selected through their respective sub-metro assembly members. The initiative aimed at equipping beneficiaries with entrepreneurial skills and financial assistance to help improve their businesses and livelihoods.

The young women received entrepreneurship training in business management, customer relations, savings culture, and business growth strategies to strengthen their capacity to build and sustain successful businesses. As part of the support package, each beneficiary received GHS 1,000 as start-up or business expansion capital to promote financial independence and self-reliance.

The event attracted several dignitaries, including the Mayor of Accra, whose presence highlighted the growing importance of youth empowerment and women’s economic inclusion in community development.

Greater Accra Regional Director of the National Youth Authority, Mr. Mathias Blay encouraged beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity by investing wisely and remaining committed to building sustainable businesses capable of improving their future.

He noted that empowering young women with entrepreneurial skills and financial support is essential for promoting self-reliance, reducing unemployment, and fostering sustainable community development.

The atmosphere at the venue was filled with excitement and gratitude as beneficiaries interacted with organizers and received their support packages. Many beneficiaries described the initiative as timely and life-changing.

Mr. Blay stated that the collaboration between Rahmatullah Impact Hub and the National Youth Authority reflects a shared commitment to youth development and economic empowerment, particularly among vulnerable young women within local communities.
