The Ghana Enterprise Agency, through JICA Output 2 in the year, received assistance from the BAC to secure financial support from the commercial bank, the purpose of the loan was to establish show rooms/outlets to boost sales and visibility, intensify online presence and to source for raw materials, but this could not materialize as a result of the continuous depreciation of the local currency against the US dollar as well as the high interest rates.
Not withstanding, the BAC assisted the enterprise to collaborate with some filling stations with outlets in Ashaiman to stock some of its finished products in their mart to achieve the visibility.
We saw the enterprise expansion drive in which the enterprise expanded its original production center and refurbished the place with modern and digital machines through a financial support the CEO secured with a business partner in India.The BAC was very instrumental in this partnership by assisting the enterprise to put together a business plan and submitted to the investor in India and this culminated to an invitation extended to the CEO who visited India and cemented the partnership.The current expansion drive put the enterprise in a position to be able to increase the number of trainees from 60 to 92.This undoubtedly has made PoksWear one of the enterprises that has helped to create sustainable jobs within the Municipality.
